First Wellness Hike For 2025 In St. John
Persons wishing to keep their New Year’s resolution to move more can join the Ministry of Health and Wellness’ first Wellness Hike for 2025 in St. John on Saturday, January 25, starting promptly at 6:00 a.m. from Bath Beach.
The hike, which is free to the public, will then pass Conset Bay, and Codrington College, before heading back to Bath Beach. The estimated time for completion is two and a half hours.
The intensity of the hike is moderate; however, some hiking experience or physical fitness is still a requirement. Persons who are not sure of their level of physical ability should consult a medical doctor before participating.
Hikers are advised to bring sufficient drinking water and healthy snacks to stay hydrated and energised. Participants are also advised to wear suitable clothing to protect their skin when going through bushy areas. Appropriate, enclosed, non-skid shoes are also recommended.
